In a statement , the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Dr. Leonard Akwilapo said a total of 2,834 students have been selected to join the teaching profession of which 1,013 are Certificate and 1,821 Diploma.

Dr. He added that so far a total of 11,028 students have been selected to join government teaching colleges of which 8,194 students were originally selected by the TAMISEMI and 2,834 have been selected by NACTE.

In addition, Dr. Akqilila has called on the selected students to report to their assigned campuses from September 20 this year and that the deadline for reporting is October 6 this year. He insisted they make sure they report within that time period since they will not be received and their positions will be filled by other qualified candidates who missed out.
