THEAJIRA TANZANIA 2019 / NAFASI ZA KAZI 2019
HakiElimu works to realize equity, quality, human rights and democracy in education by facilitating communities to transform schools and influence policy making; stimulating imaginative public dialogue and organizing for change; conducting critical research; policy analysis and advocacy and collaborating with partners to advance common interests and social justice. The overall goal of HakiElimu is: An open, just and democratic society with quality education for all. HakiElimu is looking for enthusiastic, motivated and result oriented candidates to fill in the following positions:
1. Program Officer – Print Media
A. Job Purpose:
The Program Officer – Print Media will be responsible for the facilitation of the availability of reliable and evidence-based information through print media, and stimulate debate through creative promotional materials and information.
B. Specific Responsibilities:
i) Designing and coordination of printing of organisation’s publications
ii) Develop and produce promotional materials for organization branding
iii) Distribution of Publications and Promotional Materials
iv) Maintain organization website and visual bank
C. Person Specification, skills and Experience
i) Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or any other closely related relevant field. Possession of a Master Degree is an added advantage
ii) At least three year experience working in photography, graphic designing, printing or other area related fields of your responsibilities.
iii) Good understanding of the media environment in Tanzania including the laws governing information management and dissemination, and ability to network effectively with media organizations and personnel.
iv) Team player, someone who can easily fit in a new working environment, and someone who is able to work with minimum supervision
v) Very good writing skills in both English and Kiswahili, with keen attention to details.
vi)Computer skills including Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Quark Express, and typography
2.Program Assistant – RELI 
A. Job Purpose:
The Programme Assistant will be a key person in the implementation of RELI activities in Tanzania which include to facilitate knowledge sharing and learning of Partners in Tanzania in thematic groups.  
B. Specific Responsibilities:
i) Coordinate and support all RELI Tanzania learning activities
ii) Provide adequate administrative support to RELI Coordinator
iii) Public Relations and Communication
iv) Any other duties as requested

C. Person Specification, skills and Experience

ii) At least five years of experience in project design/delivery and monitoring
iii) The person should have practical knowledge/skills in coordinating group learning activities.
iv) S/he should demonstrate good capacity on planning, budgeting report writing and meeting facilitation
v) The applicant must be able to work collaboratively and respectfully in a crosscultural environment.
vi) Team player, someone who can easily fit in a new working environment, and someone who is able to work with minimum supervision
vii) Very good writing and speaking skills in both English and Kiswahili, with keen attention to details.
