Shinyanga Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (Ajira mpya SHUWASA) is an Autonomous Utility which was established under section 3(1) of Cap. 272 of 1997 as reviewed by section 60 of the Water Supply and Sanitation Act No.12 of 2009. SHUWASA is charged with the overall responsibility of operations and management of potable clean water supply and sanitation services within Shinyanga municipality. SHUWASA performs its duties under the supervision of the Executive Board of Directors with functions and responsibilities well stipulated in the Water Works Ordinance and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Water and SHUWASA.

The applicant will be responsible in repairing all non working water meters from customers
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Repair non working water meters
- Regular testing all water meter to measure their accuracy
- Timely attend to customer’s complaints regarding water meters.
- Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Holder of Form IV/VI with Level HI (Grade Test I) Certificate in Water Resources/ Sanitary/Civil Engineering from recognized Technical College.
- Must know how to read and write
REMUNERATION:

Certificates from foreign examination bodies for Ordinary’ and Advanced level education be verified by NF.CTA and Certificate from foreign Universities must be verified by TCU.
Applicants employed in Public Service should route their applications through their respective employers.
Presentation of forged certificate and other information will necessitate to legal action.
