Shinyanga Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (Ajira mpya SHUWASA) is an Autonomous Utility which was established under section 3(1) of Cap. 272 of 1997 as reviewed by section 60 of the Water Supply and Sanitation Act No.12 of 2009. SHUWASA is charged with the overall responsibility of operations and management of potable clean water supply and sanitation services within Shinyanga municipality. SHUWASA performs its duties under the supervision of the Executive Board of Directors with functions and responsibilities well stipulated in the Water Works Ordinance and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Water and SHUWASA.

Successful candidates will be reporting to HR-oflicer and will have an overall responsibility of driving Authority vehicle.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Keep and maintain the vehicle and accessories in good condition
- Supervise and verity regular servicing and repairs of the vehicle.
- Carry’ and deriver mail and parcels from SHUWASA to other offices.
- Maintain vehicle log book and record all movements accurately and timely.
- Verity repair undertaken on the Vehicle.
- Report on major problems of vehicle
- Ensure that the steps required by rule and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accident,
- Perform any other duties related to the position as my be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Holder of Form IV certificate and Trade Test I (Driving and Mechanics) with clean and valid class C driving license, with at least years 5 vehicle driving experience. Mechanics knowledge will be an added advantage
- Attended Executive Driving course offered by any reputable institution Experienced in driving public vehicles
- Fluent in both English and Swahili languages
REMUNERATION:
Competitive remuneration packages will be offered to the successful candidates basing on proven good track of records, qualifications, experience and interpersonal skills.

Certificates from foreign examination bodies for Ordinary’ and Advanced level education be verified by NF.CTA and Certificate from foreign Universities must be verified by TCU.

Presentation of forged certificate and other information will necessitate to legal action.
