In order toTo strengthen its  our operations, we are recruiting for  the company needs to fill the Technicians Sales and Marketing Executive positions in our Dar es Salaam, ArushaArusha, and Moshi Branches.

The Technicians Sales and Marketing Executivewill join  is strong technical team capable of exercising effective installation and maintenance of Innovative Electronic Security Systems.   tasked with promoting, selling, securing orders from existing and prospective clients within the assigned branch/territory in line with agreed set targets and ensures client retention.

The incumbent is responsible for installation and maintenance duties that include but are not limited to:

  • Domestic and Industrial electronic security systems installation
  • Installation/Maintenance of intruder alarm systems
  • Repair/Maintenance of electronic security systems
  • Fault diagnosis and maintenance of various components of electronic security systems
  • Installation/Maintenance of electric fence  
  • Installation/Maintenance of CCTV Systems
  • Installation/Maintenance of fire alarms
  • Installation/Maintenance of access control units
  • Installation/Maintenance of panic button along with related repair and maintenance
  • Installation/Maintenance of Fleet Management systems
  • Any other duties which might be assigned from time to time by Management this include your supervisor.
  • You will be responsible of taking care of for all the technical material you are to request for a particular assignment until the work is done. You will have to pay for any loss/misplacement of technical materials in your hands. 

Responsibilities

Competencies: -

  • Has practical experience with security system installations
  • Writes and speaks clearly, succinctly, and correctly
  • Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, MS Project, 
  • Works in an ethical manner, is systematic, methodical, and orderly
  • Ability to work and interact within teams
  • Appreciates the need to work beyond the call of duty if necessary
  • Secure new orders from prospective customers and from existing clients by up selling and cross selling in line with set individual targets; 
  • Demonstrate products and services to existing /potential customers and giving professional advice/assisting them in selecting those best suited to their needs; 
  • Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers and do follow ups with an aim of closure. Participate in preparation of bids as required; 
  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationship at all levels with current / prospective      customers both retail and corporate in the assigned territory/branch and generate new business for the organization’s products/services; 
  • Make telephone calls and personal visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers with an aim of penetrating new markets in the branch/territory for market growth and branch coverage; 
  • Coordinate sales effort to the end with marketing, customer care, sales management, accounting, operations, technical and any other department represented in the organization; 
  • Keep abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas; 
  • Manage and retain all existing and new clients, both Corporate and retail allocated and acquired in ones portfolio for business growth; 
  • Conduct market research, analyse the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers’ value to the organization. Supply the management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, sales, prospects and potential for new products and services. 
  • Plan and organize personal sales strategies by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment; 
  • Create and manage a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities; 
  • Follow up on sales and ensure collection of the initial deposit as required by company policy for new customers and assist the company in future collections as and when required; and 
  • Prepare and submit sales reports and other paperwork for effective order processing and for management analysis.

Must possess a training on Customer Services, Sales and Marketing. Must additionally achieve the following: -

  • A recognized formal education in Business Administration, Marketing or Sales or any Degree with 5 or more of Customer Service, Sales and Marketing experience. 
  • Computer literate (MS word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) 
  • Professional, excellent customer service and dedicated 
  • Sales oriented, being driven, positive and confident. 
  • Ability to meet targets and hungry for success
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with good command of written and spoken English and Kiswahili.
  • Three years and above of sales and marketing experience.   
  • Be keen to work in an office environment and be a part of a busy team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acting as the liaison officer between customers, and company sales, technical and operational staff.
  • Preparing letters to customers, confirming appointments, quotations, and confirmation of orders.
  • Booking installations, service and survey visits to client’s premises by operations and technical staff. 
  • Analyzing feedback from any client communications and customer retention.
  • Explaining to the clients the correct security measures that should be put in place to protect their property.
  • Operating and keeping the company database up to date.
  • Posting of daily alarm service records sheets
  • Keeping track of the movement of clients’ files.
  • Promoting all company products through increasing emphasis on new sales of innovative  security solutions(electronic and manned security)
  • Ensuring that new clients pay Pre-service fee deposit to the company. 
  • Liaising with stores department to facilitate timely delivery of installation materials from our suppliers.
  • Assisting in debt collection.
  • Any other duty assigned by the management

  • Have good numeracy, problem analysis and reporting skills;  
  • High moral standing with impeccable integrity; and 
  • Good market research skills and conversant with the market trends within the industry. 

Qualifications and experience

  • Educational background in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications – Certificate - Diploma - Higher Diploma
  • Min. 5 years’ experience as an installations technician in a busy environment include demonstrable experience in security system installation, configuration, and testing
