The National Identification Authority (NIDA) continues to intensify efforts to respond to the awareness, awareness and motivation of citizens to obtain National Identification Numbers (NIN) and National IDs.

These are all steps that are being taken at this time in strengthening the services provided by the Government to the public to recognize that NIN is an important and necessary document for the identification of a person seeking access to government offices and the private sector.

Among the services that you can get with a NIN or National ID are a Passport, Passport, Company Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), land tenure, mobile phone registration, government employment, account opening and access. loans to financial institutions and the Higher Education Student Loan Board (HESLB).

Thus, the need to use the National ID to access these important economic and social services has led citizens and foreigners to appear in the NIDA offices in large numbers to be registered and recognized in order to obtain National IDs.

Citizens to appear in large numbers to be identified, registered and go to NIDA offices to pick up their NINs or IDs is a patriotic affair and proves that they have raised awareness about the importance and use of NIN and National IDs. NIDA is committed to serving them to acquire identity and to use it in institutions when needed to maximize productivity in promoting the economy of the individual and the Government as a whole.

In response to the increase in National ID applicants in our offices which are primarily for people seeking a National Identity Number, NIDA has introduced the following procedure;

Provision of National Identification Numbers (NIN) to local authorities / villages so that citizens do not have to travel long distances to NIDA District Registration Offices.

Customer Service Center improvements that have telephone numbers of all the networks that a person can call and ask for his or her NIN, to complain and comment on the support and recognition services we provide are 0735 201 020, 0736 201 020, 0686 088 888 , 0687 088 888, 0677 146 666, 0677 146 667, 0673 333 444, 0743 000 058, 0752 000 058 and 0777 740 008.

There is also a service that enables the applicant to know the NIN and to know if an ID has been generated using the cell phone where he or she should dial * 152 * 00 #, then select number 3 (Employment and Identification), select number 2 (NIDA), and be required to type the three names he or she has filled in application form, the telephone number he wrote on the application form and clicking accept. This service relieves the public of the necessity to stop performing his or her duties and go to NIDA offices to track NIN or close it as its ID has gone out.

NIDA has also extended the time to provide services to the public because registration offices are now closed at 11pm and services are available until Saturday.

Given the human resources and equipment available, NIDA is effective in serving all qualified citizens and achieving the goal of completing the registration of mobile phones by December 31, 2019.

Citizens are reminded to attach copies of birth certificates, education, voter ID, TIN, Driver's License, Passport, Zanzibar Citizen ID and Social Security Fund IDs to the Application Form when they go to register.
