Mainly responsible for providing technical direction for development and implementation of evidence-based, locally relevant strategies for integrated/comprehensive TB and TB/HIV activities consistent with USAID Boresha Afya Southern Zone results framework. Also, overseeing implementation and reporting of all the project's TB and TB/HIV activities, working closely with the National TB & Leprosy Program and other key stakeholders; Providing technical direction to enhance integration ot TB/HIV services, and monitoring delivery of integrated interventions; Ensuring implementation of key facility and community TB and TB/HIV interventions consistent with national guidelines -case identification contact tracing, provision of INH prophylaxis to eligible HIV clients, Identification of MDR TB cases, Infection Prevention and Control;
Developing and implementing approaches to improve service delivery access/case finding and quality TB services; Monitoring, tracking/analyzing TB and TB/HIV performance; Supportive supervision of trained facility and community health workers; Documenting results and impacts.
Requirements:
MB.BS/MD or similar degree with 3-5 years' relevant experience in public health program implementation which includes 3 years' experience with TB and TB/HIV program planning and implementation at the national or regional level working with public and NGO/CBO sectors; MPH is an advantageworking knowledge of major donor TB/HIV policies as well as National TB and Leprosy Control program and TB/HIV policies and strateqies
Demonstrated technical, supervisory, leadership and networking skills in designing, implementing and reporting TB or TB/HIV projects at national or regional level
Experience working with the NACP and NTLP at national and regional level in planning, training and program implementation
-Experience and understanding in the use of routine TB and TB/HIV program data for regular programmatic decision-making in TB and TB/HIV integration
-Familiarity with national TB database and its use
Ability to work well with others in teams
-Well-developed written and oral communication skills in English and Kiswahili
-Abllity to manage tight deadlines and deliver high volumes of work with minimal supervision -Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
-Ability to travel to implementation districts a minimum of 50%.
